About Kaleiçi (Old Town)

Kaleiçi is the historic heart of Antalya, a maze of restored stone houses, hammams and boutique hotels enclosed by ancient walls and anchored by Hadrian's Gate (130 AD) and the 2nd-century Hıdırlık Tower beside Karaalioğlu Park. The Old Harbour below the cliffs hums with excursion boats, marina bars and seafood restaurants. Life here is pedestrian, intimate and unmistakably touristic, with the Nostalji tram clattering past the gate toward the modern city. For buyers it is a scarce-supply heritage market, quoted in euros, prized for character and short-let income rather than for square-metre value, with real returns muted by Turkey's high inflation.
