About Bassins à Flot

Once a working port between Chartrons and Bacalan, the Bassins à Flot has been reborn as a mixed-use eco-quartier of new apartments, offices, a marina and flagship cultural venues. The glass-tower Cité du Vin and the immersive Bassins des Lumières (in the cavernous WWII submarine base) have made it a left-bank destination, with the Halles de Bacalan food hall feeding the crowds. Served by Tram Line B and wide new cycle paths, it offers modern, energy-efficient stock at prices below the historic centre. The quarter is still maturing block by block, which is precisely the regeneration upside investors are watching, tempered by slower new-build absorption since 2023.
