Prainha

Prainha is the upscale coastal face of Cape Verde's capital, perched on low cliffs just south of the historic Plateau. It is where Praia's larger resorts and upmarket hotels cluster, giving the district a polished, hospitality-led character and the city's better concentration of seafront dining. The nearby Prainha and Quebra Canela beaches anchor its appeal in a capital that is otherwise more administrative than touristic. For investors, the draw is an upscale address with holiday-let potential and the security of an escudo pegged to the euro, balanced against an honestly small, illiquid market, lower tourist demand than the resort islands of Sal and Boa Vista, and limited local mortgage finance.
