Playa Brava is the beach the world pictures when it thinks of Punta del Este: a wide, wave-pounded Atlantic strand fronted by Mario Irarrázabal's emblematic 'La Mano' (Los Dedos) sculpture, fingers rising from the sand, and lined with the resort's premium high-rise towers. Uruguay's fully equal foreign-ownership regime and USD pricing make acquisition frictionless; note the residency-by-real-estate threshold rose sharply on 1 January 2026, largely closing the former low-cost residency route.
